Grand Marais citizens have been actively trying to get the Harbor problem remedied for many, many years.

In 2007, a new Harbor Committee was formed to aggressively seek resolution to the imminent loss of this Harbor.

The Committee consists of ten community members chaired by Burt Township Supervisor, Jack Hubbard.
